I spoke with Amrita Joy Ananda Ma’s family today. They received the report from the medical examiner. It seems Amrita was experiencing atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and died of a heart attack in her home in Escondido on Friday, February 17th.
Amrita’s community in San Diego is planning a memorial service for her. We also plan on streaming the memorial online for people who cannot attend in person. We are currently looking for a venue and figuring out how many people will be attending in person. The tentative date is Sunday, April 16th, but this might change depending on multiple factors that need to be considered in planning. More details will be shared as things take form.
