Fukushima Three Years On

Marking the third anniversary of the Fukushima nuclear disaster, Peter and Mickey speak with former US Navy Lt. Steve Simmons, who was on board the USS Ronald Reagan when the vessel was exposed to fallout from Fukushima, and is now suffering severe health consequences. Attorneys Charles Bonner and Paul Garner discuss their efforts to win justice for Simmons and other Navy crew injured by the fallout. Mary Beth Bragdon of the Ecological Options Network and nuclear engineer Arnie Gundersen recount the hazards of nuclear power. And Bay Area activist Robert Manning summarizes the available alternatives to nuclear and fossil fuel energy.
