Coming up every Tuesday and Saturday at 8 am Pacific * 11 am Eastern * 16:00 GMTProject Censored
This week’s show rebroadcasts a recent online panel discussion about efforts to keep certain books away from children or youth, by removing the books from libraries. The panelists explore the possible motives for book bans, and why it’s vital for young people to have access to the books typically targeted for banning. Mickey Huff was the moderator of the panel.

The featured panelists were Maia Kobabe, author of “Gender Queer: A Memoir,” and Noah Grigni, illustrator of “It Feels Good to Be Yourself: A Book About Gender Identity.” Both books have been targets for banning. The discussion took place on April 9 and was sponsored by the Sonoma County Public Library.

Featured speakers: Maia Kobabe, Noah Grigni

Host: Mickey Huff
