Greg Felton described the mainstream view on “climate change” as a scientific “Fact.” I can assure you that it is no such thing – it actually meets all the criteria of a “religion,” where “deniers” of this religious dogma are treated as heretics, and said dogma comes nowhere near the criteria of a scientific fact.
For years I was uninformed and agnostic on this debate – not viewing it as worth my time to research, because it struck me that the proposed reforms – cleaner energy, less dependence upon foreign oil etc. – were good ideas either way. But I finally lost patience observing my on-line friends treat this scientific matter as a political question, where all my friends leaning right challenged the proposition and all those leaning left defended it. It was obvious that both sides were doing nothing but repeating political talking points and had no independent knowledge of the science involved. For both sides – their positions were a matter a faith in their Tribe’s position – having no independent knowledge and understanding of the question. As such, I finally lost patience with this non-scientific approach to a scientific question and announced to my group of friends that I would take the time to investigate the matter and that I would report my findings and one side was not going to be happy with the results – not knowing at the outset which side that would be.
Having a degree in Bio-Physics from Rice University, I am fully capable of researching this matter and making an independent judgment upon it, and I dispassionately set out to do just that. When I started my investigation, the Theory was still called “Global Warming,” where said label was subsequently changed to “Climate Change,” clearly for PR reasons. My purely scientific investigation of this Theory clearly demonstrated it to be a Fraud.
I can follow up with the details on my findings, but I’ll conclude at the moment with the observation that the vast majority of the adherents of this fraud have no ability to defend the Theory themselves, instead simply deferring to what is described as a “scientific consensus” and what amounts to their religious faith in this “consensus.” I believe that I recall that this was the position taken by the esteemed David Ray Griffin in Kevin’s interview of him, where Dr. Griffin, whom I have had the pleasure of meeting, indicated in response to Kevin’s questions that he “is not a scientist and defers to their expert findings and opinions.” I expect that Greg Felton falls into the same camp, because he strikes me as an intelligent fellow, and it’s hard for me to imagine that he’s performed an independent investigation of this fraud.
Sadly – the scientific and academic communities are not always the pristine keepers of the truth we grew up imagining them to be, and there are many examples of this Fact – including the so-called “Climate Change” Theory, which again is a Fraud.
Today’s guest, Greg Felton, explains how the principles of objective reason and rational argument are not allowed with respect to certain historic events. Anything which could effectively expose the official mythology and discredit the manufactured “consensus view” on these topics must be suppressed.
However, in the same breath, he defends the official mythology and the consensus view regarding the much touted “climate change” phenomena. It seems that some cows are more sacred than others.
